I am originally from Indiana, but have lived the majority of my life in California and New York City. Always eager to experience new cultures, I have lived in Seoul, Prague, Bangkok, Hawaii, and Paris. I love learning about other places, and experiencing different ways of life.
I love to read and write, and have a passion for literature and philosophy. I have worked as a chef, and love to cook gourmet meals. I am an actor, and worked primarily in the theatre in San Diego. I am currently working on a film here in New York. I love sports, and have been an athlete since I was a kid; I play basketball all over New York City.
Throughout all of my experiences, I have loved working with kids. I love their curiosity, energy, imagination, and vitality. I have worked as an English teacher in Seoul, as a middle school basketball coach in Indiana and San Francisco, and as an au pair in Paris. I have worked with a variety of families in San Francisco, Indiana, and San Diego, as a babysitter. Working as an au pair for an American family in Paris was amazing, as I got the chance to discover the city with the kids; sharing it with them made it even more exciting. Since I am an actor, I love to play creative games with the kids I babysit. I love to cook gourmet meals for them, and they love to help me cook! I have lots of energy, and never get tired of playing with kids. Whether it be sports, playing on the playground, or creating indoor games, I love all of it. I think imagination is one of the most important things in life, and I am learning constantly from the kids I am lucky enough to work with.
As a babysitter, I know how to balance structure with spontaneity. The children’s safety is my top priority. I always know what needs to get done, and I get it done. At the same time, I am open to their ideas, incorporating games into everyday activities, and making our tasks as creative as possible. I truly love working with kids; I have found them to be so insightful. Having the chance to cook for, play with, and care for them is an honor.
