About Me

I have had the privilege of working with many special people in my life, from celebrated actors to brilliant authors; however, the most rewarding experiences by far have been working with children. The natural curiosity and creativity inherent in every child inspires me in my own creative pursuits, and I have happily found while teaching that it is not only the child who learns but also the teacher. Growing up in the theatre, I learned the importance of teamwork, acceptance, and self-discipline. When working with children, I strive to promote these virtues as well as an early appreciation for the arts.

I have many hobbies, including reading, playing the piano, and learning German. I am curious about all kinds of history and try to “be interested in everything,” as my grandfather strongly encouraged. I look for the humor in situations and pride myself on my ability to stay calm under pressure. My plays have been performed by children from all over the world, and that has been a highlight of my life.

I have professional childcare experience with…

Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children…

I believe reading is the one of the best things we can do for ourselves. Writing, too, is important and is sometimes the best means of communication.

I play the piano and would be more than glad to share my interest in music. Again, writing is a wonderful way to express oneself. Everyone is capable of composing music, even if you're not a Baby Bach! Making music together is a great way to bond.

As I mentioned before, language is very interesting to me. In my spare time, I am teaching myself German. This could be a fun activity.

What's more relaxing than drawing and coloring? I do this even now when I need to center myself. It's always fun and there is no right or wrong way to do it.
