About Me

Since graduating from college, I’ve been involved in many non-profit theaters in the tri-state area that have emphasis on arts education. At The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison, NJ, I have performed in an outdoor production of As You Like It, and assisted the director the 75th Anniversary production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, which included creating research materials and study guides for young audiences. Additionally, I work at the Atlantic Theater Company, where I interact with young students at the Atlantic Theater School on a daily basis, and with Manhattan Theatre Club’s educational program Write On The Edge. At Write On The Edge, I serve as a guest teaching artist, and help high school students write and develop original plays.

I find working with students of all ages to be incredibly rewarding, and my ten years of experience as a babysitter makes me an excellent teacher and mentor. As a caregiver, I am enthusiastic, passionate, and energetic because I believe the key to growth and learning lies in the ability to have fun. Among my favorite activities to do with children are drawing, reading, music, theatre, cooking, field trips to places like museums and zoos, and of course, hide and seek. I think it is through these types of activities that children can best grown and learn about the world around them.
