About Me

My passion for childcare started when I was still a child myself. I have a large Italian family, and was often volunteering to care for my little cousins during various family gatherings and holidays. That passion only bloomed as I got older, eventually becoming the neighborhood babysitter and tutor for several families. I made the decision to leave my neighborhood and move to New York after High School to study Spanish Translation as a way to help people, including children, communicate with one another. I started sitting almost immediately after I moved here five years ago, and have been doing so ever since.

A child’s mind is full of limitless possibilities and imaginary places. For me, it’s important to help them explore those places! When working with children in the past, we’ve frequented the library, various story-time gatherings and book stores around the city. Reading is one of my favorite ways to encourage a child’s imagination. That said, I also love to start impromptu song and dance sessions, I’m a great couch pillow fort architect and I LOVE arts and crafts. I can draw a pretty fantastic Thanksgiving Turkey!

I am an avid healthy eater and an extremely active person, a lifestyle I love to share with kids. I’m the girl who is running right along with the kids on the playground, playing tag and hop scotch. I’ve also been to a toddler yoga class in the past. Currently, I play in a recreational volleyball league, and was captain of a kickball team this past Spring. I really enjoy preparing healthy, well-balanced meals too; it’s essential to instill healthy habits from the get-go. These things have been so important to me in recent years that I’ve decided to go back to school to work in healthcare. I want to combine my love for children and my passion for health into a fulfilling career as a NICU nurse.
