Working with children is something I have done all my professional life, and I can’t seem to stop! It is the most rewarding, amazing, impressive thing I can think of, and I am grateful every time I go to jobs where kids are involved. Having finally moved back to New York after a few years abroad, I’m ready to pick up right where I left off, exploring the city with little ones. My many years working in preschools have taught me how to integrate learning into every moment, whether it be in structured activity or simply while walking home from school. I find the best way to reach and teach children is often through play: learning math and chemistry while baking bread, or learning about compassion and empathy while playing dress-up, and that is something I always bring with me when interacting with them.
I grew up in a family that traveled all the time and really valued learning about different cultures, and we constantly cooked together, all of which are things I now integrate into my personal life as well as my work with children. I also rely a lot on my psychology education to meet children at their levels of development, and to best help them be their most awesome selves!
