About Me

I am a professional actor and singer with a passion for caring for children. I
come from a family of educators. My dad and brother are both
currently high school teachers, and my mom, once an elementary teacher,
now teaches music, 3’s and Pre-K for a preschool. At a young age, I spent
time with my parents as they taught at their music, art and drama (MAD)
camp, ran Sunday school and volunteered in the church nursery. My parents’ love for teaching and caring for children has been an inspiration to me. That same passion for childcare is an innate part of who I am.

In addition to loving children, I love the performing arts. Most recently, for the past year and a half, I performed in the National Tour Musical of “Clifford The Big Red Dog- Live!” Through this outlet, I was able to entertain and educate kids in what I consider some of the most important lessons: being honest, being responsible, working together, and making friends. I believe that music and the creative arts foster a child’s need for self-discovery and imagination. As a caregiver, I view every activity as a learning opportunity. Along with creativity, I encourage physical activity, eating healthy, courtesy, and learning how to get along with one another.

When caring for children, safety is my number one priority. In the past 5 years, I have held numerous nannying and babysitting jobs, caring for children of all ages. My responsibilities included: cooking, cleaning, and pet care. In addition to my work as an in-home caretaker, I have worked at multiple summer camps as a teaching assistant and later, as a full-time teacher. Alongside my teaching duties, I was in charge of planning curriculum suited to different age groups, leading large group warm-ups and games, and preparing campers for the final night concert. I have viewed every teaching and childcare opportunity as a deeply rewarding experience. I believe that not only are children growing and learning every day, but as a caregiver I too learn more about the world and myself through children.

I have professional childcare experience with…

Infants, Toddlers, Pre-school aged children, Elementary school-aged children, Middle school-aged children, Children with special needs

I will be SmartSitting while…

Auditioning for theater jobs.

In 5 years, I hope to be…

Working towards my focus of Music and Theatre in both teaching and performance. One day, I would like to see myself coaching young children in the arts and hopefully with children of my own, but that will be a bit more than 5 years in the future.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children…
