About Me

Having taught children in Taiwan, Korea and the United States, I have developed childcare skills that transcend language and culture. As a teacher for children of various ages, I emphasize the importance of communication between the parents, the student and myself, the caregiver. Gaining the trust of students and their parents is essential to providing the best possible education. In addition to teaching young learners, I foster the personal growth of each. I focus on lessons that instill a sense of respect, morality, self-confidence and love. Watching my students absorb and apply the ethical principles which I teach is one of the most rewarding experiences that I have ever had. In addition, I strive to understand the individual learning style of each child that I am entrusted with, so that I may accommodate that learning style in each lesson. I incorporate visual stimulation, activities, rhythm and games into each day’s events.

During my last year working abroad, I was the head teacher for a kindergarten of over 80 Korean students. I was given the opportunity to train other international teachers and Korean staff on different teaching methodologies and classroom management strategies. I am confident that my experience as an international educator and childcare provider has given me the tools necessary to be a positive influence on your children’s lives. I do not simply want to just be a caregiver / nanny for your family. I want to create a safe, fun, loving and educational environment where your your child can develop.

After studying in Taiwan for over a year, I am proficient in conversational Mandarin Chinese. I am a vegetarian, and love to cook organic and nutritious meals. While in Korea, I taught cooking classes to kindergarten students, and hope to continue that experience along with teaching Chinese. I am well versed in many cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Thai, American and Italian. I am also very experienced in teaching performance arts to children. Leading children in song and dance is truly one of my passions.
