My interest in working with children began in high school when I worked as a volunteer at an orphanage. Since then I have been exploring all meaningful work experiences with kids that I can. I have loved teaching science in the mountains of Southern California and being a camp counselor in Maine for 5 years. That is where I fostered my passion for child advocacy and counseling.
I love to make sure kids have fun, rewarding, educational experiences when I work with them. I think kids should be allowed to explore and create and enjoy childhood as much as possible no matter their circumstances. I also highly value respect and kindness and have been known to be firm but fair. I enjoy cooking, creating, building anything, hiking, camping, rock climbing, reading, swimming and exploring!
