Professional Experience

My recent professional experience has been in childcare.

About Me

I am a career nanny, and I have immersed myself in the great calling doing this wonderful job well. With a previous successful career in the field of fire and life safety, I bring a strong awareness of all matters related to safety and wellness. I have worked with children ranging from gifted to those with special needs or conditions, and am experienced in matters ranging from infant feeding and sleep training to management of severe allergies or problematic behavioral issues. I bring a love of the outdoors, art and creative expression, and the joy of learning to all of my endeavors as well as the personal attributes of compassion, honesty, responsibility and kindness.

When working with children, I enjoy using a spirit of discovery, play and creative expression to enrich daily routine. Understanding and implementing the parent’s wishes and philosophy are important to me, and I will always try hard to live up to the trust that I know that they are placing in me. Personal passions include animals, music, cooking and wholesome food, photography and trying to make the world a slightly better place. I volunteer with causes including animal welfare and support of children at risk.

I have professional childcare experience with…

Infants, Toddlers, Pre-school aged children, Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children, Children with special needs, Multiples

I will be SmartSitting while…

Caring for children is actually my full time endeavor, as I am a career nanny.

In 5 years, I hope to be…

Still caring for children as this is the work that I love; I hope to gain in both skill level and openness of heart through it all.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children…

I am a good cook and enjoy helping children learn about nutrition and explore healthy cooking and eating. I play a little guitar and enjoy bringing my guitar on occasion to share the experience. I love arts and crafts. In all, I am really good at picking up on what holds a child's interest or where there passion lies, and finding a way to honor that in our activities.
