I have been studying alternative medicine for the past eight years and during this time, I have worked as a nanny for three wonderful families. I have also volunteered as an acupuncturist in a hospice in London and spent several years working for an educational awarding body advising students and colleges on qualifications and academic pathways. All these roles have been rewarding in similar ways as they have allowed me to spend time offering support, structure, and hopefully some inspiration to people, both young and old.
My studies have helped me to gain a greater understanding of general health and nutrition and an ability to communicate and act reflectively which I have found most helpful when dealing with children.
I place a great importance on understanding and meeting individual needs and creating a warm and happy environment.
I was taught basic skills such as maths, reading and writing at a very early age but was also lucky enough to be surrounded by make believe, fairy tales and outdoor activity and I hope to give the same balanced experience to the children I work with.
