About Me

Since graduating from college, my career has been centered around the education and growth of children. I have been babysitting since the age of 13. Though I’ve been an elementary art teacher the past three years, I continued to babysit at night and on weekends. I also taught part time at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. These experiences in my career have allowed me to learn so much from children. I sincerely believe they are the most wonderful, creative, pure individuals and I thrive in having the opportunity to teach and care for them.

When working with children, I engage them with my creative positive energy. I love to imagine and play pretend, paint, collage, create art out of anything, invent games, and explore nature. I love to eat healthy as well as try new things and am a proficient cook. Some other hobbies include: my own art (currently watercolor, ink, and collage), yoga, running, hiking, seeing live music, and checking out any museum or art gallery. I’ve recently begun volunteering at the Brooklyn Museum.

I have professional childcare experience with…

Infants, Toddlers, Pre-school aged children, Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children, Children with special needs, Multiples

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children…

I can teach many art skills such as painting (watercolor or acrylic), drawing (charcoal, pen, pastel), collage, and printmaking. I also played soccer as well as running cross country and could teach these skills. Being from Arkansas, I am a seasoned hiker as well.
