The facilitation and creation of education-enriched play has been a huge part of my childcare experience since I co-created a one-week day camp the summer before middle school in my parent’s garage. Whether through Camp SydAl (an amalgamation of my name and the name of my cohort), teaching at Gymboree Play and Music, directing children’s theater, nannying, or babysitting, I enjoy combining the two things children do best, learning and playing!
As an actor, writer, and director, I love being active and creative. Imaginative play, adventures, and scavenger hunts are some of my favorite activities, in addition to all things parks and sports! I love cooking and baking and am a guest writer for a small New York food blog. I am a very self-motivated and organized individual, and I have experience both sitting and teaching children of all ages, from infant to teen. My hope is that by providing structure and clear boundaries when caring for children, I am able to create more freedom for safe and outrageously fun and engaging, creative play! I am a Pintrest master, so no rainy or cold day can stop the creativity and fun in my book! My favorite finds? Bubble wrap hopscotch and a birthday party for Dr. Seuss!
