About Me

I’ve always been a person with a wide variety of interests and a passion for sharing my interests with others. I love sharing my own excitement about a given subject with young people and hearing the insightful and unexpected questions that children ask, and I am always interested to hear their opinions. Through museum internships, two student teaching placements in NYC public schools and work as a summer camp assistant, I have experience with children of all ages, including elementary, middle and high schoolers. Throughout these positions I have guided students’ creativity, helping them shape and express their own ideas while keeping educational goals in mind.

In my spare time I am an avid reader and writer (mostly historical fiction/history, fantasy and science fiction). I also love cooking, drawing, and visiting museums. I try to do as much traveling and exploring as I can, and I have visited half of the 50 US states and over 15 foreign countries.

I have professional childcare experience with…

Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children

I will be SmartSitting while…

Finishing grad school, writing a novel, and working as an after-school educator.

In 5 years, I hope to be…
