About Me

I am a San Francisco native who moved to New York City to pursue my passion for theatrical costuming. I strive to create beautiful things and to share them with the communities that surround me. A major part of this is my drive to expose young people to the arts, sciences, and their own outlets of creative expression. I was raised by an Early Childhood Education professor, and because of this, I understand the importance of fostering skills, interests, and attitudes that will serve a young member of our society for the rest of his or her life. I like to treat each moment with a child as an opportunity for a hands-on, entertaining learning experience, for both the child and myself. I am always amazed by the wisdom and imagination of children, and moved by their capacity for compassion and wonderment.

I have been a babysitter in the San Francisco Bay Area since high school, and worked for a children’s event company while in college. I came in contact with children from all walks of life, diverse ages (infant through teenage), backgrounds (from working with homeless youth to supervising the children of some of the wealthiest families in the Bay Area) and abilities (I have experience working with children with disabilities, mental and physical).

I would be thrilled and honored to make the time that I am with your children that of emotional, creative, and intellectual stimulation and growth.

I have professional childcare experience with…

Infants, Toddlers, Pre-school aged children, Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children, Children with special needs, Multiples

I will be SmartSitting while…

Interning part time in New York Theatre Workshop's costume shop, and getting to know this incredible city!

In 5 years, I hope to be…

An active member of the Broadway and off-Broadway costuming community, and share my skills and experiences with young people.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children…

Creative and artistic experimentation; exposure to diverse and artistic culture; crafting, drawing, and building; interacting with nature; exploring the possibilities of language and communication; learning to understand our bodies, their strengths and limitations; exploring the limitless potential of our imaginations. I also enjoy Singing, dancing, and improvisation (I play guitar, read music, and have years of vocal and acting training).
