About Me

I got my start babysitting with the Barnard Babysitting Service in 2002, and have since branched out on my own. I’ve had about 10 years of babysitting experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds. I love interacting with children in an approachable and fun way, so they feel comfortable being themselves around me. Because of my background as a professional opera singer and voice teacher, I am particularly skilled at music and singing, and I am happy to make music with the children I babysit.

One of the reasons I love babysitting is that it helps me to tap into a playful and creative part of my personality, which is something I have always cherished. In addition to taking care of young ones, I enjoy keeping them occupied with all kinds of activities such as drawing, arts-and-crafts, and reading. I love when children share stories from their lives and express their own unique personalities and interests. I can also provide homework help, and believe I would be an excellent tutor. I have a wonderful academic record, and in addition to my bachelor and master degrees, I was also high school valedictorian. Growing up, I excelled by finding fun and creative ways to study, which is something I believe I can pass on to others. Most importantly, I want to create a positive experience for everyone who works with me, both parents and children. I want the parents to know their children are safe and taken care of while they are away, and I want the children to look forward to our time together because it is fun and enjoyable.
