About Me

Hello! I am a fun, friendly and intensely creative artist-type currently pursuing a self-designed masters degree titled ‘Cultural Implications on Creativity and Emotional Expression’ at NYU Gallatin. My background is riddled with experience performing (musical theater and guitar/ukulele), singing, writing, painting and creating, and nearly every stop beneath the creative-arts umbrella has been paired with a teaching component.

Over the past several years my main work with children has been through my experiences working as an art program director for the Sold Project- a nonprofit in northern Thailand providing scholarships and relevant resources for children at risk of being trafficked. Designing and implementing expressive arts workshops with the kids at Sold has been one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences of my young life so far, and I hope to bridge that spark of enthusiasm into my NY childcare experiences!

My promise to you and your family is a sitter-experience full of creative, imaginative fun, made-up games galore, art lessons, fun crafts and sing alongs if you’re interested, top-notch homework help, and the creation of a safe, responsible and warm atmosphere for your children to dream, play and enjoy!

I have professional childcare experience with…

Toddlers, Pre-school aged children, Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children, Multiples

I will be SmartSitting while…

Completing my Master's degree at NYU, working as an arts education coordinator for More Art (a NY nonprofit aimed at creating opportunities for sharing contemporary art with the larger public), creating my own artwork, and finding my footing in the bustling NY art scene!

In 5 years, I hope to be…

Running international expressive arts programs for at risk youth and pursuing a Phd in expressive arts.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children…

Visual Art, Music, Creative Writing, Reading, Cooking, Storytelling, and finding imaginative sparks throughout everyday life!
