About Me

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I have had the privilege of working with children since my early teens. I babysat privately for families in the area as well as mentored the younger participants of various children’s theatre projects before I took on a daycare job during my college years. Upon graduation, I moved to the city and began my wonderful journey with SmartSitting, where I have had the pleasure of meeting many great families and their kids!

My diverse backgrounds in Theatre and Speech Pathology have given me a unique perspective into communication, both in terms of creative play and the complex processes of language development. I am passionate about bringing creativity to my time with children, while employing developmentally appropriate learning tools to keep everyone’s minds working.

Besides having fun with kids, my hobbies include reading, making music, seeing and creating theatre, learning American Sign Language, and spending time baking and cooking. I have been a vegetarian for the past ten years, and I am happy to say that I am finally coming into my own in the kitchen!

I have professional childcare experience with…

Infants, Toddlers, Pre-school aged children, Elementary school aged children, Middle school aged children, Children with special needs, Multiples

I will be SmartSitting while…
