I’ve been babysitting since I was eleven years old. I even made official babysitter business cards that I would hand out to mothers after school! I figured out at a very young age that it’s possible to do something I love. That idea has stuck with me as I am currently pursuing a career in theatre here in NYC. I moved here after graduating college two years ago. I like to take every opportunity to see more of the city’s parks and museums and to attend as much theatre as possible. I’ve found that babysitting allows me the flexibility to continue to pursue acting opportunities, not to mention the fact that I love kids and both the challenges and the rewards that come with them.
I am an only child from Washington D.C. and have always been very outgoing and personable. I encourage the kids I babysit to be brave on the playground and to make friends on their own, because that’s how I was raised – to be comfortable and confident in any situation. As a babysitter, I am really fun and positive. I love playing make-believe, telling stories and being goofy, but I’m also responsible and reliable. It’s important for me to be a good role model for the kids I babysit.
