About Me

I grew up on Staten Island with two creative parents who passed on their love for opera, musical theatre, dance, art and food to me. Our household is somewhat legendary for surviving without television, which is probably the reason why my sister and I became avid readers and NYC explorers. Throughout my childhood the School of the Staten Island Ballet was my second home and I am very passionate about sharing my love for the arts with young people. I especially enjoy babysitting because it allows me to share my creative side with children and I am committed to providing the very best care. (Also, believe it or not, I miss doing homework, so I am eager to help out with that.)

The Drama Counselor position at Camp Rising Sun (an International Leadership Program funded by the Louis August Jonas Foundation) was truly a unique childcare experience. This was not your typical summer camp – we slept in platform tents, did early morning chores, and spent our afternoons working on community projects and having educational instruction. The young women had to reconcile social conflicts, learn how to collaborate, and successfully sustain the community with limited counselor involvement. This job taught me how to mentor young people: how to encourage them to ask lots of questions, solve conflicts without the help of an adult, and think of things to do outside of the living room. I believe I have a lot to offer as a babysitter and if your kids can appreciate my love for the Muppets, quirky books, Disney songs, and vegetables, then I am excited to meet them!
