Overview

We have a new Brooklyn after school position with two kids, 6 and 4. They are a typical brother/sister duo with one being more shy and introverted and the other being more gregarious and extroverted. They are both super sweet and equally loving of their current nanny who is leaving after 6 years with them! They are looking for someone who can split their attention equally between both kids. Someone fun, engaging, and reliable as well! It's $20/hour, 20 hours/week, and $400/week! The position will begin 9/21, with some flexibility. Interviews will begin after Labor Day.

About the Children

boy, 6- He is so thoughtful, sensitive, and smart boy. He is active and energetic. He is more of an introvert and observant. He is pretty mature. He is starting to read, he plays soccer, baseball, and rock climbing. He can be absent minded at times and needs to be reminded to do small tasks like put his she’s on. He is a bit more shy, but loves affection. girl, 4- She is very gregarious, affectionate, and a go-getter. She is super silly. She can be dramatic at times. She has had the same FT nanny her whole life and may have trouble with the transition at first. She does get attached with people after some time.

Responsibilities

The sitter would be picking them up from school, making play dates occasionally, shuttling them to afterschool commitments, helping with some light homework (1st grade), prepping dinner (usually we have leftovers but will need to be able to cook on occasion), and bathing them. At times they would have either one or both the kids depending on schedules after school.
