This lovely family is looking to work with a SmartSitter Monday through Friday, typically 3 PM - 8 PM, with the ability to work a morning shift 7:15-830 AM 3-4 mornings a week. On these days that you start early, you will have a mid-day break from 8:30-3:00. They ask that you work full days during school holidays and one weekend a month (8am-8pm). They have four fabulous kids, boys 4&10, and girls, 8&5! There is almost always another adult and so you wouldn't be with all four kids at once. The core schedule is: Monday-Friday, 3 PM - 8 PM, with the ability to start with a 7:15-8:30 AM shift 3-4 mornings/week. You would then have a mid-day break from 8:30 AM - 3 PM. boy, age 10 - He has moderate autism. He's not aggressive. He has limited communication skills. He has a homeschool program. girl, age 8 -She's easy, loving, bright, has a million friends. She's easygoing. She likes everything. She's happy. She's into nature and science. She's into hiking. She plants a garden every year. She loves to online shop. girl, age 5 - She's driven. She asks a lot of questions. She loves learning! She loves math. boy, age 4 - He's great. He's so cool and funny and easy and talkative. He's a talker. The youngest love each other and are best friends. They love to read. They are into Monster trucks and super heroes.
Morning responsibilities (7:15-8:30 AM) are needed 3-4 days a week. A day may, but will not necessarily include: helping children dress and get breakfast, school drop-off, playroom organization and clean-up, homework assistance, dinner preparation or taking children out for dinner, assistance with bath and bedtime, planning and accompanying children to leisure activities, etc. After school pick up, gymnastics, ballet, take the kids to dinner and/or oversee dinner. There are homework charts and prize boxes. Reading, bath time, play time, play activities. Get the kids bathed and in pajamas. There aren't typically cooking responsibilities, however you may need to occasionally pack the kids' lunch. Candidate must also be willing to travel with family, including preparing airplane snacks and activities, supervising children at pool, beach, accompanying family to meals, etc. They have a housekeeper who helps out occasionally and mom helps out occasionally. Summers are not in Manhattan. The family travels at least one weekend a month. They have a house in South Carolina. You may have a weekend here or there in the Bahamas. Travel is about once/month. The summer is a lot of travel. They will often stay in villas. When traveling, you have your own bedroom/bathroom typically. If in a hotel, it might be an adjoining rooms.
