We have a wonderful returning family in Brooklyn Heights with 3 kids (5, 9, and 12) looking for their new afterschool SmartSitter. They have really fun and active kids who all have very different interests and personalities. They are looking for someone equally active, fun, and engaging who can keep up with them and their busy schedules. They are a really lovely family who we have helped a few times over many years. It's $22-25/hour for 25 hours/week GUARANTEED. The position will begin ASAP.
The Ideal Sitter for this Job
Someone really active, energetic, and attentive who can handle three different personalities, particularly someone who can be firmer with the oldest. Someone who is proactive and a self-starter who doesn't need or want to be micro-managed and has really adept time management and is organized. A really confident and comfortable person who is outgoing enough to set up playdates with other parents and caregivers and can make decisions on their own if necessary. Someone creative or someone who likes sports and being outside is a plus. We are also looking for someone who can commit at least a year if not more. This person would be an extension of the parents and they want to empower their sitter to make the right decisions.
The core schedule is Monday to Friday, from 3-7 PM. The family can guarantee up to 25 hours/week with a floating date night or two each week.
