A lovely family on the UWS is looking for after school help Monday to Friday, from 2:30-6:30 PM with their 3 kids, twin 9-year-old boys, and an 11-year-old girl. They are ideally looking for someone with high energy who is super active to keep up with their fun kids! Someone who can maintain boundaries and has a good amount of experience with larger groups of older kids is great, too! It's $25/hour gross for 20 hours/week. The position would begin in the weeks to come with interviews taking place immediately!
The Ideal Sitter for this Job
Someone who has experience managing three kids and their varying needs and personalities, is super active, and can have a handle on the day to day with high energy and super active kids. Someone who can balance being fun with the kids and being the authority figure when necessary is paramount! Establishing the boundaries will be an absolutely must as is communication and working as a team with the parents. Someone understanding of the transitional time, too, as they will be parting ways with their current SmartSitter.
The core schedule is Monday to Friday, from 2:30-6:30 PM. Flexibility to occasionally help with full day if there is no school. Typically it is more hours/opportunity for hours based on the kids' schedule.
About the Children
girl, 11- She is sweet, funny, engaging, and enjoys gymnastics, sports, and arts and crafts. She is entering her pre-teen years and having some struggles with that. She dances with ABT and typically goes directly after school. boy, 9- He is sensitive, funny, talkative, inquisitive, and likes to ride bikes, go to the playground, and arts and crafts. boy, 9- He is sensitive, quiet, and likes to ride bikes, go to the playground, mixed martial arts, and arts and crafts The boys are so active and energetic and often bicker with each other. They like to ask why a lot and negotiate, so a keen and quick person is best. Both twins are very energetic and like to push boundaries with their sitters. **It is very important to note that all three kids have a very severe peanut allergy!!!**
Arriving to the family's home before school to help meals, tidying up, making the kids beds, errands in the neighborhood/grocery store, and laundry/ironing for the kids. Pick kids up from bus at 3:30 take to any after school activities, make/feed them dinner, help with homework, over see bath time. The position will likely be with the boys primarily, so taking them out to the park, running around, and the like!
