Are you a fabulously comfortable in the kitchen and love to cook?! Are you open to learning more even? Do you have extensive experience with school aged boys?? A new family on Central Park South is looking for a fun and bright SmartSitter to join their team and assist with cooking for the family and helping care for the boys week days afternoons! The boys are all really hard working and go to a very competitive school so someone who can assist with homework is required. The cooking piece for the whole family (recipes from their tried and true recipe book) is paramount as well as mom and dad both work very demanding jobs. The Ideal Sitter for this Job
Someone comfortable following recipes from their recipe book and loves to cook. This is a paramount component of the position. They are more than happy to help teach the new person what they like, so someone who is open to learning. Someone college educated who can help the boys withe making sure everything is done as it should be. Primarily this would be with the youngest. Someone really smart who speaks many languages would be great. Someone who can connect with the kids and is easy going. Someone who can maintain the boundaries with the kids and making sure they are getting everything done they need to be doing and are following rules. Someone fun and engaging who can is happy to be there! Someone engaged who is bringing joy and happiness to their home and can really bond with kids.
The core schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 4-8:30 PM; and Tuesdays and Thursday, from 4-10 or 11 PM-. Some flexibility to stay later on different weekdays or even weekends is a plus. For the long-term commitment, they are open to working out a summer schedule with their sitter even though the boys will be away at camps during various times of the summer. **Please note if you are open to the long-term commitment or through the current school year**
About the Children
boy, 17- He is in crew and plays football. He often gets home later. He is a very hard worker and takes a few AP classes. He has a girlfriend from school and some really great friends. He is quite opinionated, too boy, 14- He plays squash, football, and volleyball. He needs more encouragement to get his homework and studying done rather than watching sports. He loves to cook as well. He has activities every day after school. boy, 10- He is an old soul; a true old man stuck in a young man's body. He is most comfortable in his robe. he has more homework than his older brothers! He works extremely hard at his competitive school. He has activities most days after school. They all have really big personalities and love each other. They can bicker from time to time, but get along quite well.
Going out and getting the groceries or items for dinner that evening before 4:30 PM (minimal shopping needed every day). Meeting the kids at home with the housekeeper depending on their after school activities which all take place . Getting the boys started on their homework. Prepping dinner once for the younger boys and a second time for the parents and older boy while they are doing homework or are with their tutors or trainers, etc. Feeding the younger boys and tidying up. Meeting mom around 630 PM at home who sits with the boys while they eat. Helping to get the parents and older boys dinner on the table (same meal). Getting the younger boys to bed by 8/830 PM. Letting the dog out on the terrace and feeding her on occasion is also included.
They are a generous and really nice family and looking for the top of the top!
