Are you looking for a heavy part time job in Manhattan with two cute kids? This east village family is looking for a sitter to help with after-school pickup and activities, dinner time, and bedtime. One child gets picked up at 12:50pm and the other at 2:55pm. You'll take them to after-school activities or playdates and then bring them home and get dinner ready and get settled for bedtime. If you're there late enough, you'll put them down for bed as well. They are super fun kids! The 3yo boy loves imaginary play and dressing up, and his 5yo sister loves anything artistic! Apply now!
The Ideal Sitter for this Job
This family is looking for someone who can balance being super loving with being able to set boundaries and be firm. They want someone who is going to love engaging with the kids in their interests and activities! Someone who is reliable and nurturing and willing to establish a connection with both kiddos. Someone who will engage in imaginary play with the 3yo and love to do crafts with the 5yo!
Schedule
Monday- Friday 12:50pm - 7pm (with flexibility to stay until 8 or 9pm every so often)
About the Children
Boy, 3 - loves make believe, loves to dress up, loves running around and pretending he’s different characters, can be super adventurous so needs some boundaries set, loves to be engaged in active activities Girl, 5 - loves to sit and color or do an activity book, can concentrate more and o more calm activities, she’s super into art, super social
Responsibilities
Pickup one child from school at 2:50pm (about a 20 minute walk from home in the West Village), the other gets picked up at 2:55pm. You'll take them to activities, playdates, and mostly walk or take a cross town bus to get to and from places. On Fridays you'll take the subway to an activity so being comfortable with public transport with kids is a must! You'll do light meal prep for dinner once you're home and get them ready for bed (and put them down if it's a night you stay late).
