The 4-year-old has some physical delays, though she has therapies and they work on these all together as well. Someone organized who has attention to detail will be a real asset in this position. It's $25/hour gross for 40-50 hours/week, plus overtime (1.5x hourly rate over 40 hours/week worked). They are looking for someone to begin in June or July to create a relationship with the girl before the baby comes. Someone who has experience with early school aged and infants. Someone who is super kind and loving and can be sensitive to the fact that the girl's whole life has changed and she is still adjusting to her new life. Someone who can help teach her through modeling their behaviors and being very kind and sweet with her. Someone super active and can play with her. Someone who is super communicative and open. Someone with a special education background and can utilize those approaches is a big help, though not required.
Monday to Friday, 8-5 or 6 PM, with flexibility to stay later on occasion if mom and dad has a meeting later.
About the Children
baby-to-be in August- Will no doubt be a total cutie! girl, 4- She is their niece who they are adopting. She is very sensitive and can get upsets easily if she thinks someone is mad at her. She wears orthopedic braces around her ankles and they work on things like stairs, etc. She was late to walk and does PT. They are working on her strength and balance and playing a lot.
Their nanny will create structure to all the craziness and be a true confidante to the girl. They will help with her meals and tidying up after, taking her out for walks and to play, assisting with her PT and OT virtually, helping with her exercise routine and then taking her to and from when the offices open again. Laundry for the kids. After parental leave, the nanny will take over care for both kids and will include care for the baby as well.
