My name is Staci, I was born and raised in St. Louis, now living in Queens. My childcare journey began in 2001, at the Illinois Center for Autism with ages 3-21. Since moving to NYC in 2006, I have held positions as Nanny, Governess & Household Manager, and have experience with ages 1-15.
Childcare is a passion I take my commitments seriously. It is imperative that I find chemistry with the entire family, and I appreciate working for employers that require a take charge assistant.
I adore children and it shows in my big sister approach to childcare – As a warm, easy going nanny, I take time to get to know each child and slowly earn their trust while giving mine.
My top priority is to ensure safety, discipline and individual growth, while remaining firm when needed,
Engaging children in arts/crafts, messy projects, cooking and baking are just a few of the fun activities I plan. I am pro-active in scheduling play dates and setting up any appointments
After school, I supervise the homework and keep children on task. After homework they are taught to organize for the following day. Teaching children responsibility is paramount to be a productive adult and I'm always willing to lend a helping hand.
Cooking is also a passion of mine and I’m able to accommodate requests and any special dietary needs.
As personal assistant, I am happy to help with anything you cannot get to yourself – taking on tasks such as bill paying, submitting pet insurance claims, keeping stock of essentials and specially requested items. Furthermore, I have experience in hiring contractors and over-seeing any maintenance. In the past, I have utilized apps to stay organized & on top of tasks, such as WunderList, which makes it easy to share to do lists with employers. As a career nanny, I believe open communication and mutual respect of boundaries are keys to a successful working relationship. Also, a sense of humor along the way, of course!
My schedule is flexible and I welcome extra hours. I am open to travel both domestically & internationally with advanced notice. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
