About me
I grew up in sunny Orlando, Florida on watermelon farms. I have 3 older brothers and we all played sports growing up. I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2017 with a BFA in Acting and a BA in Psychology. While in college, I took many classes in child psychology which has helped me immensely with understanding child behavior. I am very hands-on when it comes to babysitting. I love creating new games, crafting, reading, acting out stories, and challenging kids to use their imagination, as they challenge me to as well.
I am what they call a "very seasoned NYC babysitter". I have been with Smart Sitter for over a year now! I have been a babysitter for 8 years for kids ages 5 months to 12 years old. I have worked with all kinds of kids with different personalities and for parents that have very different parenting styles. I am also CPR certified. I have been babysitting one of my co-worker’s kids since his birth! He is 3 years old now. I have also babysat for a lot parents who are artists and who prefer to surround their kid with someone creative, fun, and open-minded. I have babysat another boy since his birth for over the course of 4 years on an as-needed basis. His parents are both artists and their schedules are always fluctuating, so whenever they need me, they reach out to me. Pre-pandemic, I babysat for 2 families weekly and their kids were 2, 4, 6, and 7. I also work as a fill-in/on-call babysitter at Smart Sitter so I am great at jumping right in with a new family and adjusting to their style quickly. I have a lot of experience transporting kids in the city, helping with homework, preparing meals, bath-time, and putting them down for naps/bedtime.
In my free time I love to act, to watch movies, read books, go to the beach, and do yoga. As an actor, I love playing and appreciate that kids seem to want to play non-stop. A lot of the families I babysit for love that I am an actor because I am animated and love to make kids laugh. I like to be on the same page as the parents in terms of following their restrictions and preferences and I like to keep an open line of communication.
