I have always had a love for kids and as soon as I was old enough to give back to the daycare that I attended as a toddler, I did! During the summer of my teenage years is when I started a small venture in caring for toddlers in a daycare setting and my love for that bond blossomed. After that, I figured I would turn my love for dance, hence my BFA in Theatre Arts-Dance, into another a way I could foster the talents, energy, innocence, and pure curiosity of kids and use my discipline. I was an assistant dance teacher for the YMCA for ages 3-10, where I could connect with them through movement and exploration. Exploration is such an awesome learning tool that I think is important when working with kids. I also worked at Gymboree Play and Music which allowed me to embrace my sense of humor, high energy, and compassion and love for the hearts of children ages 10 months to 3 years old.
Throughout my life, children have filled my heart with pure joy because of their innocence and curious nature, whether they say one word or one thousand. I know that I can see a child's individual needs and serve them the best way that is unique to them because of my connection and observational skills that I use day to day. I am just an easy-going California girl who loves to try new things, learn new things, and share my love, smiles, and laughter with others. Although, I am laid back, I do take my Art seriously so I am focused and driven to get my hands dirty in order to have my dreams fulfilled. My goal is to always make people feel understood and heard, babies, toddlers, and teens included!
