About me
Hi there! I grew up in Haiti and Washington Heights! I'm currently in my last year of school studying Computer Science at Fordham University and I am a represented tv/film and musical theater actress here in the city. I actually came back from touring the country with Beautiful: The Carole King Musical to finish my degree in January this year!
Instead of going to after school as a kid, my mom, who is a childcare professional, took me along with her to work. That's how I was exposed to the in's and out's of childcare. Given that exposure, I had the opportunity to start sitting when I was just 11 years old for my former piano teacher. That amount of responsibility meant a lot to me at the time (Blue-Belle was only 2 years old!) and the gravity of that responsibility hasn't changed over the years.
I fell in love with teaching those younger than me the importance of having a set schedule i.e. time for homework, play, bed and that there's always a time to be creative and free. It's a lesson my mother taught me and I have seen it work in real time with the lovely kids I care for. Whether I am working with a family or working with young artists at my old dance and theater schools, I really love to step into the role of caregiver and mentor and giving children the care, tools, and education they need to move through the world!
