Ciera is originally from Nashville, TN and currently pursuing a career in Pediatrics/Neonatology and Maternal Fetal Medicine and grew up in the childcare industry along side her mother who owned and operated a 3 star home daycare for over 15 years. She has completed many childcare development courses and training with TECTA (Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance) and has certification in CPR and First Aid. She has experience independently caring for twins and multiples from ages 0-13 years. Through her 12 plus years of combined experience working as a childcare provider and nanny in home settings she has built her reputation and has been requested back by multiple families. In addition to her childcare and nanny experience she also works as a substitute teacher for multiple school systems. Her favorite thing about being a childcare provider is being a teacher and mentor, encouraging creativity and watching children learn and grow.
Her duties as a childcare teacher included keeping a daily log to communicate to parents about child’s progress throughout the day; planning weekly age appropriate activities and a curriculum, maintaining a daily schedule; working one on one with families providing in home care, as well as working with other nannies in a group settings at conferences, meetings and hotel events supervising up to 50 children at a time. She has also trained new teachers and has worked at other daycares when requested, and has coordinated and set up events such as Christmas parties, Easter eggs hunts, parents day out, and community service events.
