About me
Hello! I grew up in central California, in a city called Bakersfield. At the age of four I began performing in summer theatre camps with my older brother. I continued these camps for thirteen years, which helped me grow into the person I am today. Through these camps, my love for live theatre grew. I went on to study Musical Theatre and earn my BFA at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. I have just graduated moved to NYC, to pursue my dream of being on Broadway!
I have over ten cousins and I fall right in the middle of of them, so from a young age I have been able to communicate with the older cousins and now I am learning to communicate with the little ones. But theatre is where is found most of my social skills with children and adults. I quickly learned the importance of listening and respecting those around me. After high school I found that babysitting was the best job for me with my college schedule. I babysat for the four years I was in college and I loved every moment of it. I watched children ages two to fourteen. I most recently nannied for a family with a two year old girl from 8-5pm every weekday. I was responsible for making breakfast and lunch, providing entertainment (not including TV), walks around the neighborhood and putting her down for naps once a day. I also have babysat for twins who were four years old, a boy and girl, who loved to play outside and do crafts.
I truly believe that children should be treated with the respect and the attitude we treat adults with. I believe communication with a child should be in a calm and caring matter. If there is an issue we can problem solve together. My experience in the arts have taught me how to stay organized and calm in uncomfortable situations. My parents are the best role models in my life. Because of them, know I have the same power to change a child's life just as much as the child has the power to change mine.
