About me

I grew up in the desert of Phoenix, Arizona as a middle child. I fell in love with singing, dancing, and gymnastics, and went on to study Musical Theater in Philadelphia at the University of the Arts and received my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. After college, I worked as an actor around the country and then began studying yoga. I went to India and Nepal and became certified to teach and have since taught in NYC, Ghana, and Ecuador.

As a middle child of seven children, I was brought up by my siblings, and helped raised my younger ones. I spent my high school years babysitting and teaching summer theater camps at local art centers. During college, I performed at a summer resort in Maine while running the afternoon childcare program (20 children, ages 5 - 18). I also spent those summers privately babysitting infants and toddlers. After high school, I had a consistent after school babysitting job with a family of two girls ages 4 and 7. Duties included picking the girls up from school, providing a snack, homework help, meal prepping, and putting the girls down for bed. While in New York, I have been an after-school babysitter for a 4-year-old boy. This job included picking him up from school, providing a snack, providing entertainment, helping him nap, and taking him to appointments. I also have babysat for a family with a 2-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl. This family would bring me over whenever they needed help. I even travelled with this family for ten days to Croatia and Montenegro and was on call 24/7 for any help the family needed while on the trip.

The phrase “children are the future” really resonates with me. It reminds me that they are going to be the next creators of our world and that we are their teachers. My goal is to help children create a more loving and peaceful world for all of us. I’ve read that the first five years of a child’s life designs who they will essentially be for life. I believe if we really hone in on this and be mindful and loving when we raise our children, they can grow up to be outstanding beings of the world. I’d like to help them become these people!
