I am glad you are considering adding me to your family to nurture, love and educate your little ones. Finding the perfect nanny can be a challenge. If given the chance to work with your family I will create a loving environment so that your children feel unique and important each day.
I graduated from Purdue University where I studied Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs. I have spent years working with children in private homes as a nanny and baby nurse. Additionally I have worked in Elementary school and preschool. I have worked with newborn through school-age children as well as with children with disabilities and children with gifts. My broad range of work experience has prepared me for any situation. My education has shown me the latest in scientifically proven childcare techniques. This combination makes me a great candidate because I will understand how to properly guide your child through the first years of his or her life.
In addition to my degree I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist. I am certified in infant, Child and adult CPR, AED and First Aid. I am comfortable working with a child from the first day he or she comes home from the hospital through his or her beginning years in school. Caring for children has always come naturally to me. The first daycare I worked in, I was nicknamed The Baby-Whisperer because I could soothe any infant. I was routinely pulled from my classroom if there was an upset child in another classroom that no other caregiver could calm.
I have always been drawn to working in a private home because the bond created between the child and me is so much stronger. In a past summer nanny position, the young boy I cared for asked me if I could stay a little longer because he wanted to me come with him to his first day of kindergarten. It is moments like that that remind me why I have chosen to be a career nanny.
I am an outgoing, creative and responsible nanny looking to join your family. I love watching children grow, change and develop. I use my education and experience to turn each day into a million learning opportunities. To me the best learning comes when the children do not realize they are learning at all! I use guidance rather than discipline when working with children. This method helps children to make the right decision on their own. I am consistent and keep an organized routine to eliminate as much stress from your child’s life as possible. Aside from the attributes that help me bond with children so well I am also professional, discrete and an excellent communicator, which make me an asset to the entire family.
