About me

I began working with children in high school, and from those experiences, I knew that working with kids would always hold a special place in my heart. I have been fortunate enough to work with children in several capacities: as an after school babysitter as well as a dance and music teacher's assistant.

Working with children in music and dance also leads to teaching other important objectives including leadership and organization skills. Music, dance, sports, and early childhood tutoring are some of my greatest skills. I also love baking and cooking healthy meals. Having had experience in the corporate world, I’m a great task manager, communicator, and organizer. I have experience with ages 4 years and older. I make sure to organize my activities and communication based on the kids interests. I am compassionate towards the kids' needs. I also am a wonderful communicator and constantly make sure the parents are always aware of our daily activities.

When working with kids, I make sure to create a structured, imaginative, and enthusiastic environment. I encourage the kids I work with to stay true to their thoughts and ideas while maintaining a safe environment. One of my main missions is to make sure that we are always learning.

I am First Aid/CPR certified.

I will be SmartSitting while...

I work on dance and/or theatre projects and films. You may find me hiking throughout the city. I enjoy riding my bicycle around New York, especially in Brooklyn and over the bridges. You may also find me giving bike tours in Central Park, as I’m a licensed NYC tour guide!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Healthy and living a happy, prosperous life. I hope to continue to grow as I work with people. I hope that my choreography and art will continue to have an impact. I also hope to open my own dance studio and production company, introducing children to dance and film.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching children to dance. I feel that learning how the body moves is both an awareness and confidence builder. In addition, I love teaching children the importance of collaboration. Working with others is a huge part of our daily lives, and it is important to make healthy connections with other people. I also teach the importance of acceptance. As the world changes, we need to continue to express ourselves while radiating positive energy. Last but not least, I strive to inspire children to give back. As a volunteer, I find it imperative that I spend quality time with those who need it most.
