My love for children coupled with my professional skills as an organizer, administrator and leader have prepared me to undertake the prescribed responsibilities as a full-time nanny. In addition to nine years of experience as a childcare provider for various families with children ranging from infant to adolescent, I spent two years working for a loving family in Park Slope, Brooklyn. As a nanny, I was responsible for organizing and driving to and from play dates, preparing healthy family meals, washing and folding laundry, light cleaning, assisting with homework, and providing a nurturing and safe environment for the children. Additionally, I've spent this past year as an AmeriCorps Urban Education Fellow at Great Oaks Charter School, facilitating college preparation in an underserved community. I have developed authentic relationships with my students and have watched them grow emotionally and intellectually throughout the year. I believe in a comprehensive approach to education which has motivated me to lead an after school Girl's Club and Running Club to enhance students' critical thinking skills and overall wellbeing. I also have nearly two years experience working as an executive assistant. There I honed my administrative and organizational skills, proving my ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Personally, I am one of nine children of a beautifully blended family. I am an aunt of two infants and four toddlers, whom I have the privilege of babysitting often. I certainly understand the love and compassion for family, because I carry its immeasurable value as an integral part of my being. I am confident that I would be a terrific nanny for your family.
